TGITW (figure this out and you'll get AC watermelon juice from me!)

Weekends, what would we do without them?

Thank you God, for creating 7 days a week.

Saturday
I blogged about today already, but i left out the fact that I went grocery shopping with my Dad and sister!

We went to Jaya something supermarket, and ALL the stuff was either imported, expensive or both.

My sister: I need lots of fruits.
Me: Your list says bananas. They're over there.
MS: Hmm... how about this? *picks up a bunch*
Me: They look good. *sees the price tag* Are you crazy? That costs like 10 ringgit. For a bunch of bananas?!
MS: But it's big! And I don't want them too ripe. These are just nice.
Me: Pa is never going to let you buy them.

My dad comes over.

Dad: We have church at 5. Choose faster lah
MS: I want bananas.
Dad: Okay, but don't choose the expensive ones. How much are they?
Me: *very quickly* 10 ringgit.
Dad: *cough cough sputter sputter* What?!
Me: *to my sister* Told you so *smug grin*

This is why sometimes my sister and I have a love-hate relationship.

Other times, it's all love of course =D

We went for the Saturday evening service at DUMC, and it was one of the most inspiring, moving worships I've ever gone for!

And the message was all about prayer and intercession, and I realized how much we trivialize prayer!

Prayer is such a powerful weapon, but it is so underused. THAT HAS TO CHANGE.

I also realized I'm so passive in my Christian faith. Like, I don't really go around sharing God with other people at all! I get so caught up in my own life, when I should be sharing God with the people around me.

I've decided that has to change as well.

This is to all the Christians out there, PRAYER IS SO SO IMPORTANT.

Sunday

During lunch at Noodle Station with Michelle and Jia Jia, Michelle (as usual, sigh) ate everything in her bowl.

And after lunch (also as usual), she said...

Michelle: Oh no, i'm so full. I'm obese liao.

This coming from the girl who has a BMI of like 18. She is UNDERWEIGHT.

And last week, she actually SMS-ed me to ask if it was possible for a person to die of OVEREATING.

My answer? Yes.

Her reply? Oh no!

Haha. Funny girl.

After that, we converged on Charlene's apartment at around 3 with the intention of watching Mamma Mia.

Charlene was in INTENSE STUDYING MODE (ITM) though, and the studying atmosphere was really there! So we ended up studying until nearly... 5? I don't know. But Jia jia was impatient the whole time to watch the movie =)

Then, 3 of us - Michelle decided to have an individual karaoke-ing session instead of joining us. you could hear her from a mile away. or through seven walls, haha (inside joke, only G4 people will get it) - crammed into/onto Charlene's bed to watch it.

And horrible horrible Charlene opened up a jumbo sized bag of chips.

EVIL CHARLENE.

The chips were yummy though =)

Oh, and this was so funny (Jia Jia will kill me for this)

Jia Jia: *she was lying on her stomach while watching the movie, and halfway through she got up*
Charlene and I: *pause the movie and look at her in an inquiring manner*
Jia Jia: I cannot tahan liao. Is it possible for our breasts/chest to become flat from lying on it too long?

Long pause.

Charlene and I: HAHAHAHAHA
Me: *wiping tears from my eyes, not* Did you SERIOUSLY just say that?!

Charlene also realized her toy cow (Moomoo) has cancer. It needs to see an oncologist to get chemotherapy. Heehee =)

Also, Michelle pronouned "silhouette" (see-lou-wet) as seel-hoot. It was funny =)

Monday and Tuesday

These two days deserve a blog post of their own.

=)
